I finally got around to making something for IF.
You might know by now that I love trees. My very first memory was watching leaf shadows dance across my wall while I was in my crib. I still get mesmerized by trees blowing in the wind and getting all twisty-twirly.
(Remember the movie Phenomenon? The part where the camera focuses in on the trees swaying in the sky? That's my favorite part.)
Here is a chickadee swinging on her swing outside under the leafy branches over a stone wall. There are other birdie friends awaiting their turn.
8x10 collage on birch and in the shop.
Just in case there is someone out there in cyberland who has been thinking of purchasing one of these collages... well, thought I'd let you know they're headed to the shop in Gruene tomorrow and will not be available on etsy in the happydreamer shop. This is not a pressure pitch, just a friendly note.
I'm such a goob. :-p
Thanks!
The theme this week is "Suit". I immediately thought of suits of playing cards because my 10 yr. old son is a cards fanatic.
The birds are three of a kind...
8x10 collage on wood. I used vintage books, decorative papers, and scrapbook papers on this one. I'll be putting this one in the shop too.
**Here's a good dice game if your're interested in games. My family loves them. Farkle is super fun and just about any age can play.
Being outside is my paradise of choice. Typically my backyard...but anywhere outside among all the birds, trees, the sky, and nature-y sounds is pure joy.
12x18 collage on wood. It is in the happydreamer shop.
8 x 10 collage/painting on birch. I will add this to my shop later today.
I'm diggin this size. Not too big, not too small.
Today. Oh today. It is Tackle-the-boy's-room-day. They're helping. But it will probably be a half day affair. *sigh* but it has to be done. Then it will be "Haul-Everything-to-Goodwill-Day".
Have a pleasant day.
The bed is drawn on a dictionary page that defines midsummer and Midsummer Night's Dream. That is really the only Shakespeare play I like.
I think I will put this in the shop in a bit.
Today, the boys have field trips. I am meeting them at the park for lunch. They're going to all the historical sites in town. I think that is such a great idea. There is so much Texas history here. Our town is named after one of the General's of the Alamo. He was not at the Alamo during battle because he was sent by Travis to get more men. They'll see his burial site today. Joshua brought his disposable camera. He wanted my digital but I couldn't turn it loose. Am I a selfish Mom? I know HE would be careful but the other kids... I just couldn't.
