What a morning! How would you like to participate in an art show in a setting like this?!
Breathtaking. An oasis of refuge. I loved every minute of my morning spent at this home.
Besides the surroundings, I had a wonderful time visiting with the seven other artists. A sculptor from South Africa, a jeweler,a potter, several painters, and a faux finisher were my fellow participants.
Here's my table are ready to go for the show. I was able to make a few new pieces just for the show.
(Left) Here's one that I made a while back, but I don't think I ever blogged about it. It's been at Gruene. The background papers are all from children's science books on plants and weather. The foreground paper is a wonderful Japanese design I found online. "They Talked About The Weather" is its title.
"Morning Has Broken" (Right)
Vintage photograph that I LOVE, various vintage book papers, and Japanese paper.
(Left) "Journey" I used some tasty Indian paper and a whole lotta vintage...children's books, dictionaries, music books, castoff library books, astronomy text...I am so happy to have found something I can make that uses up all my book paper. :o)
Off to watch a movie with the Hub. Take Care. **Click the photos to enlarge.**
